Enrich Education is proud to support Pele Trust Multi Academy Trust in developing Outdoor Adventurous Activities (OAA) and cross-curricular active learning programs.

At Enrich Education, we have a mission to support children and young people’s physical health and well-being by creating innovative opportunities for high-quality, physically active learning, both inside and outside of the classroom. Over the last 10 years, the company has developed from a small business, based on Merseyside, to being the largest provider of bespoke school orienteering courses, maps, training and cross-curricular outdoor learning resources, working with 1000’s of schools across the UK. We are a Business Associate for the Association for Physical Education (afPE), a Youth Sports Trust Changemaker Partner, the International Orienteering Federation’s Official School Orienteering Partner, and a 1st4Sport-endorsed training provider.

Enrich Education are delighted to announce that we have been selected by the Pele Trust to introduce orienteering and cross-curricular outdoor learning to each of their nine academies. Pele Trust is a Multi Academy Trust, based within Northumberland and North Tyneside, comprised of six primary academies and three secondary academies.

Each of the academies will have custom infrastructure and curriculum resources created on-site, tailored to each Pele Trust Academy, the digital maps and interactive orienteering courses will be integrated with the Enrich Education Active Learning Digital Hub, providing over 450 cross-curricular lessons.

Pele Trust’s CEO Kieran McGrane said ‘Our schools are committed to ensuring our pupils enjoy their time in school and experience a holistic education. We believe that offering high quality PE and combining physical activity with subject learning ensures that our pupils are healthy, see the inherent value in being active as well as developing their knowledge and understanding across a range of curriculum areas’

Matt Vaudrey, Enrich Education Managing Director said ‘We are excited by the opportunity to work with the staff at Pele Trust to support them in developing their OAA and cross-curricular active learning and contribute to furthering their ambition to provide rich, stimulating and challenging learning environments and promote children and young people’s health and wellbeing.

Enrich Education’s webinar on PE and Sport Premium provides an overview of essential information, including the key aims of the grant, and DfE’s guidance on what it should/shouldn’t be used for. It provides some suggestions and guidance for how schools can best satisfy the accountability and reporting requirements for the grant and demonstrates the alignment of Enrich Education’s services and products with PESP criteria. Whilst the grant has been confirmed for the current academic year, the DfE has not yet published this year’s version of the guidance.

Enrich will alert schools when this is published and will provide details of any late updates or changes to the guidance.
