Activity: Adding 9, 10 and 11

Children use their Enrich school orienteering maps to locate specific control points. At each one, they record the four numbers from the control marker and then add either 9, 10 or 11 to each of the numbers.

Summary

  1. Pupils use the Enrich school orienteering map to locate their starting point and specific control points.
  2. At each control point, pupils fill in the four numbers from the control marker on their Activity Sheet.
  3. Using mental strategies, they then add either 9, 10 or 11 to each of the four numbers.
