Activity: Les Nombres 1-10 (Phonics Markers)

Pupils use the Enrich Phonics and Numbers Control Markers to locate specific control points. At each one, they record the first number from the control marker in digits and then write the French word for this number.

Summary

  1. Children locate Phonics/Number Markers by matching the marker pictures with pictures on their Activity Sheets.
  2. They record the first number on each marker. 
  3. They then select the French word for the number from a list and write it on their Activity Sheet .

Los Deportes - Sports

Each pupil in the group has a card which shows a sport picture and a Spanish sentence: ‘I play….. (plus the name of the sport)’. Pupils take turns to read out their sport card and the rest of the children have to act out playing the sport.

Les Nombres 1- 30

Pupils play a game of mouchoir – handkerchief game. In pairs, they are given a French number between 1 and 30 and must run to grab the handkerchief when the teacher calls their number.
