Activity: Letter Recognition 9

Children play a throwing game, listening to phonemes and then trying to throw a beanbag into a hoop / bucket marked with the letter that matches the phoneme.

Summary

  1. The children are divided into ‘chasers’ and ‘dodgers’. Dodgers wear a selection of letters.
  2. The adult calls out a sound and the chasers have to use their softball to tag any dodgers who are wearing the letter that represents that sound.
