Activity: Los Numeros 1-30

Pupils play a game of pañuelo – handkerchief game. In pairs, they are given a Spanish number between 1 and 30 and must run to grab the handkerchief when the teacher calls their number.

Summary

  1. Pupils are put into 2 teams who must stand facing one another.
  2. Each pair of facing pupils are given a number in Spanish between 1-30.
  3. The teacher stands in the middle, holding a handkerchief (pañuelo) and calls a number.
  4. Pupils must race to the teacher and grab the handkerchief first, winning a point for their team.
