Activity: Multiplication Challenge – Orienteering Race

Children race to select orienteering control points and find numbers on the markers that will enable them to complete multiplication challenges.

Summary

  1. Children use their orienteering map to locate and select control points.
  2. They have to find control points which have two numbers on the marker that will enable them to complete the next multiplication challenge on their Activity Sheet.
  3. They race to complete the four different multiplication challenges on their Activity Sheet.

Times Table Race 8 X

• Children use their Enrich school orienteering maps to locate specific control points. At each one, they record a specified number from the control marker and multiply it by the number of their times table, as indicated on their Activity Sheet.
