Activity: Symbol Sprint
Symbol Sprint is a fun, fast and engaging activity that develops the participant’s knowledge of the symbols and colours found on a standard orienteering map. The aim of the activity is to use teamwork and communication to match the map symbols to the matching names cards.
Summary
- Children will be split into teams.
- In a relay style race, teams will compete to collect and match up all symbols with their corresponding name first.
