Activity: World Book Day Interactive Orienteering Book Trail

The World Book Day Interactive Orienteering Book Trail involves participants using navigational skills to direct themselves around a mapped area of their school, visiting designated control points and recording specific information.

Summary

  1. Children will work individually or in small groups. Activity can be teacher lead.
  2. Each group will be given an Enrich School Orienteering Map with a range of control marker numbers clearly highlighted (10).
  3. Children will navigate around the course and scan the QR codes on the markers that they locate. Answers and observations will be recorded on their activity sheet
