Children locate Enrich Phonics and Number markers by using their pictures. They then identify ‘one more’ and ‘one less’ for the numbers from the markers.
Children are verbally given a number between 1 and 20, which they then have to locate on one of the Enrich Phonics and Number markers. They then practice putting these numbers into short sequences.
The adult calls out the name of objects in the playing area and instructions for how to move around the playing area as individual phonemes (e.g. b-a-g, h-o-p etc)
Children have to orally blend the phonemes into whole words to follow their instructions.
The adult calls out the name of pictures on the Enrich Education Phonics / Number markers as initial phoneme, followed by the rest of the word e.g. t – orch, qu – een etc.
Children have to run to the marker with the correct picture.
