Children read and follow a series of instructions to locate a series of Enrich Education Phonics / Number control markers.
At each control marker, they collect a specified item of ‘treasure’ that has been left there.

Children run to collect a picture card or object.
They then have to find a picture on one of the Enrich Education Phonics / Number Markers which rhymes with their picture.

The adult calls out the name of pictures on the Enrich Education Phonics / Number markers as initial phoneme, followed by the rest of the word e.g. t – orch, qu – een etc.
Children have to run to the marker with the correct picture.

Children go on a walk around the school site, based on visiting a selection of Phonics and Number Control Markers.
At each one, they listen carefully, identify and describe the environmental sounds that they can hear.
