Summary

Pupils work in groups of around 10.
They each have a card which shows a sport picture and a Spanish sentence: ‘I play….. (plus the name of the sport)’.
They take turns to read out their cards and the rest of the children in the group act out that sport for 30 seconds.

They visit control points to collect missing letters to complete responses to the question, how are you?
They select an emoji that fits with the response to show understanding.
They then practice the question and response in Spanish about how they are feeling before moving on to the next control point.

Summary

Pupils work in pairs or small groups. They use their orienteering map to visit control points and use a specified letter from the control marker to identify a Spanish phrase about nationality.
They translate this phrase into English and indicate whether the phrase is for masculine or feminine nationality.
Finally, they use the Spanish phrase in a question and answer about nationality.

Summary

Pupils are put into 2 teams of competing pairs.
Each pair is given the name of a month in Spanish.
The teacher calls out a month in Spanish and the pair with that month stands up, steps over the legs of their class-mates, and races around the group to return to their seat.

They then translate the completed words from Spanish to English.

Pupils work in teams of 5 and complete a relay to collect number cards 10-100, in tens, written in Spanish.
Once a team has collected all their cards, they must put them in numerical order, from lowest to highest.
The fastest team wins.

Summary

Pupils are put into 2 teams who must stand facing one another.
Each pair of facing pupils are given a number in Spanish between 1-30.
The teacher stands in the middle, holding a handkerchief (pañuelo) and calls a number.
Pupils must race to the teacher and grab the handkerchief first, winning a point for their team.
