Summary

Children read and follow a series of instructions to locate a series of Enrich Education Phonics / Number control markers.
At each control marker, they collect a specified item of ‘treasure’ that has been left there.

Children work in pairs. They read short instructions from a card, which are based on objects and pictures that have been placed on the playing area.
When they have finished, the adult checks to see if they have followed the instructions correctly.

Children take turns to try to throw a beanbag in a hoop. If it lands in the hoop, they can collect a word card or several letters.
When all children in the team have had a turn, they use the words and letters that they have collected to try to make captions or short sentences.

Children take turns to run and take an ‘action phrase’ card from a selection in a hoop.
They read out the phrase in a loud voice and the other children in the team have to perform the action.
