  2. They must choose up to four numbers from the markers at different control points to use, together with together with + , – , x,  ÷ and = signs (as appropriate), to write a sum which enables them to reach their target number.

  2. At each control point, pupils fill in the four numbers from the control marker on their Activity Sheet and record the four-digit number that this creates.
  3. They then write this number in words on their Activity Sheets.
