Summary

Pupils work in pairs
They visit control points to collect missing letters to complete responses to the question, how are you?
They select an emoji that fits with the response to show understanding.
They then practice the question and response in Spanish about how they are feeling before moving on to the next control point.

Summary

Pupils are put into 2 teams of competing pairs.
Each pair is given the name of a month in Spanish.
The teacher calls out a month in Spanish and the pair with that month stands up, steps over the legs of their class-mates, and races around the group to return to their seat.

Pupils are put into 2 teams who must stand facing one another.
Each pair of facing pupils are given a number in Spanish between 1-30.
The teacher stands in the middle, holding a handkerchief (pañuelo) and calls a number.
Pupils must race to the teacher and grab the handkerchief first, winning a point for their team.

At each control point, they record one of the numbers from the control marker on their Activity Sheet.
They then select the Spanish word for the number from a list and write it on their Activity Sheet .

Pupils have a Spanish word card.
The teacher reads out a sentence in either Spanish or English.
The pupils who have a word in the sentence run to the front of the playing area and make the sentence by standing in a row, holding up their Spanish word cards.
The class or groups of pupils read out the sentence in Spanish.

Summary

In teams, pupils complete a relay race to collect a set of 7 cards, each of which shows a day of the week in Spanish.
Once they have collected the set of 7 cards, they arrange them in order from Monday to Sunday.
Finally, each team reads out the days of the week in order.

Summary

Pupils are in teams.
Each team has a set of colour cards at the other end of the playing area.
The teacher calls out a colour in Spanish and each child at the front of their team races to collect a card of the correct colour and return with it to their group.
Points can be awarded for the first child who collects the correct card and returns to their team.
