1. Children have a series of important historic ‘firsts’ on their Activity Sheet, each of which has one digit (the decade) missing from the date.
2. They complete the date for each event, then use their orienteering maps to visit the control point linked to the event.
3. They use a specified number from the control point to complete the correct date and check their answer against it.
