Children go on a walk around the school site. They stop at various points, listen carefully to the sounds made by different ‘sound makers’ and identify which ‘sound-maker’ was making the sound.

Summary

  1. Children go on a walk around the school site. The adult stops at selected points to make sounds with using different ‘sound-makers’ (which are hidden from the children).
  2. Children listen carefully to the sound that the adult is making, identify which sound maker they are using to make the sound and respond by choosing a ‘sound-maker’ to make the same sound.
