Activity: Long Multiplication

Pupils use their Enrich school orienteering maps to locate specific control points. At each one, they use the numbers from the control marker to create two-digit numbers which they use for long multiplication sums.

Summary

  1. Pupils use the Enrich school orienteering map to locate their starting point and specific control points.
  2. At each control marker, pupils combine the 1st and 2nd , 3rd and 4th numbers together to create 2 two-digit numbers.
  3. They set these numbers up as a long-multiplication sum, complete the sum and record the answer on their Activity Sheet.
