Activity: Hidden Treasures
Hidden Treasures involves participants working cooperatively to navigate a large, mapped area using their knowledge of 4 /6 figure grid references and map symbols to locate, draw and record prominent features.
Summary
- Children will be split into teams.
- Each group will be given a blank map and shown the grid reference and key.
- They will then try to locate different symbols in specific grid references that have been taken off the map.
