In teams, children collect separate items of PE equipment as a relay.
Each team has a diagram, representing a tree, with a key to indicate which parts of the tree each item of equipment represents. They work together, using the items of equipment that they have collected, to re-create their tree according to the diagram.
Children are in teams. They take part in a relay where each child has to run to collect the name of a different part of a plant/tree. They then have to match this with a function card and an image card.
The first team to correctly match all of their name, function and image cards wins the game.
Children use their school maps to navigate the school site and collect a variety of different leaves.
They then use their Leaf Bingo Activity Sheets to identify characteristics of the leaves they have collected and to group them according to their characteristics.
